What We Do
The Fontana Center for Fitness and Health is designed to meet the needs of people who are interested in improving their health and well-being. As a result, our fitness staff is comprised of highly trained individuals. They are dedicated to helping you meet your goals and providing you expert fitness guidance.
Our motto is “Look Well, Feel Well, Live Well,” and we offer no-contract monthly memberships to make that easy.
Initial Evaluation and Personal Training
To help you get started with your program, one of our exercise physiologists will perform a comprehensive physical fitness evaluation. Our staff will then use this evaluation to design a program to meet your specific needs.
Our evaluation consists of:
Body composition analysis
Once you’re better acquainted with your body’s unique physical makeup and the tools you need to reach your goals, you might decide that you’re interested in the assistance of a personal trainer. Our professional exercise physiologists will be happy to help you in a one-on-one session for an additional fee. Take one or a series to get you started or take one every now and then to boost or fine-tune your individual workout routine.
With a variety of exercise classes available, the Fontana Center is a great place to get out and get moving in a group. We have a class suitable for every fitness level and interest, and all ages 14+ are welcome. Come join our family of Tri-Athletes, young professionals, college students, retirees, runners, swimmers, yogis, dancers, walkers, and more!
Whether you’re looking for water aerobics, high-intensity interval training, Pilates, dance exercise, or anything else, we’re sure to have a class that gets you excited to get off the couch. Our friendly instructors will help you start or continue your fitness journey at just the right level for you. Check out the full list of classes to find the spot that suits you!
Swimming Pool and Lessons
Along with full use of our well-equipped gym, our members have access to an enclosed heated 75 x 25-meter six-lane pool. You can lap swim, perform water exercises, or join in one of our water aerobics classes. The pool’s temperature is kept at a constant 86 to 88 degrees year-round, in compliance with the Arthritis Foundation guidelines.
The pool is kept open all year, so you won’t have to wait for warm or sunny weather to enjoy this low-impact cardio exercise. In addition, we offer a multitude of aquatic group classes so that you can enjoy water fitness all year long.
Do you or your family members need to learn to swim? We’re proud to offer group or private swim lessons for all levels of skill so that you can rest assured everyone in your household can hold their own in the water. Each of our instructors is certified by the Red Cross and will teach ages 3+.
Our licensed Lafayette massage therapist is available to help soothe your post-workout strain — or just add some extra relaxation into your day. You can choose from several different kinds of massage, including deep tissue and Swedish massage. Allow yourself to be swept away into a world of respite. Your massage therapist will listen to your specific physical concerns and create a plan to address them so that you walk away feeling better than you have in years.
