Aquatic Classes: (all individuals must be able to get in and out of the pool independently!)
Arthritis Activities: this class will include ‘movement’ exercise in the shallow water designed to increase range of motion and strength designed to benefit those who have arthritis or other joint issues.
Deep Water: is exercise done in 10 foot water, working on range of motion as well as strength.For all fitness levels but targets seniors, arthritics, fibromyalgia clients, and expectant mothers.
Easy Does It/Powerwaves: is a cardio class which gives you the option of a low to almost no impact workout which is light to moderate intensity.If you are on the advanced level you will be given options for power moves to increase intensity levels.Class is in 4 foot water and targets beginners to advanced participants.May also include toning exercises using various equipment.
H20 Attack: is a quick-paced cardio workout that combines speed, coordination, strength, and cardiovascular moves to work on full body fitness. Class is done in 4 foot water and designed for intermediate to advanced exercisers.
Toning: is a strengthening and conditioning class done in 4 foot water, consisting of overall body resistance exercises. Targeted for all fitness levels.
Water Walking: a low to no impact version of the most basic form of exercise...Walking!! This class is done in 4 foot water and incorporates basic walking and many variations of this basic skill. Designed for all fitness levels but ideal for beginners. Currently not offering this as a full class, but as an addition to classes on the schedule.
30-30: 30 minutes of shallow water cardio and 30 minutes of deep water cardio and strength.This class uses flotation devices with a variety of resistance tools for deep water work and is for all fitness levels.
20-20-20: a class with variety - 20 min of deep water, 20 min of shallow water, 20 min of toning!
Land Classes: (please bring your water bottle & exercise mat to classes)
Ball & Stretch: is 30 minutes of total body resistance training exercises all performed using the exercise ball - great for core muscle and balance training as well. Followed by 30 minutes of an overall body stretching routine that is designed to incorporate all major muscle groups. All levels are welcome!
Body Blast/Toning: is a class designed to tone, trim and sculpt. Decrease inches while working on full body toning - a 30 minute class designed for all fitness levels.
Cardio Jam: a classes packed with fun, upbeat low-impact aerobics set to energetic music that will put a smile on your face and a pep in your step. Geared towards all fitness levels.
Co-Cal: Conditioning & Calisthenics! The class is designed to increase metabolism, calorie burning, and muscular strength & endurance by doing a variety of cardiovascular movements along with body weight training. No equipment will be used in this workout, everyone is welcome to join us.
Line Dancing: exactly what you are thinking, new & old line dances set to range of music genres. Learn the steps, get some exercise too!
Low Impact Aerobics: is the perfect class for beginner to intermediate level of fitness.The beginning of the class incorporates easy to follow moves to increase your cardiovascular fitness.The second segment tones and defines muscles using various equipment, and the last segment - stretching.For beginner/intermediate levels.
Resistance Interval: is high intensity interval training, consisting of both cardio & strengthening stations, in which a full body workout will be achieved. Class is done in fitness gym area.
SilverSneakers® Classic: Have fun & move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand weights, elastic tubing with handles, a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Bring your water bottles, wear comfortable clothing and wear shoes with good lateral support and cushioning.
SilverSneakers® Circuit: Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball is alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
SoulCore: strengthens the body & soul by combing the prayers of the rosary with core strengthening, stretching and functional movement
Steady Balance: class designed to work specifically on balance! The class will incorporate many types of exercise including leg and core strengthening, stretching and movement exercises that will challenge your balance. Look for the class to start up again this fall.
Stretch & Relaxation: is an overall body stretching routine that is designed to incorporate all major muscle groups.The soothing atmosphere of the class will help to relax your mind as well.For all fitness levels.
Variety Hour: will mix a variety of low impact cardiovascular and strength training activities into one class. Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Yoga: is a an ancient form of movement promoting balance, flexibility, strength & relaxation through various postures and breathing techniques.Bring your own mat.For all fitness levels.
Zumba: workout to the beat of Latin inspired tunes. This energized workout combines dance moves along with basic low impact and strengthen exercises. All levels welcome.
