Massage Therapy FAQ

What are the benefits of Massage Therapy?

  • Releases muscular tension and pain
  • Improves circulation, reduces blood pressure and promotes healing
  • Increases flexibility
  • Improves posture
  • Promotes better sleep and improves daily concentration
  • Promotes an overall sense of well-being

What will my massage feel like?

  • Your massage session starts with broad flowing strokes to calm the nervous system, relaxing exterior muscle tension. As you unwind, increased pressure aids the deeper muscles to release. All you have to do is close your eyes, breathe, and drift away.

How should I feel after my massage?

  • You may experience an increase in energy and heightened awareness that lasts for days. Most people experience freedom from long term aches and pains.

The average full body massage lasts one hour. Localized body work is usually performed in 30 minute increments focusing on troubled areas of muscular tension.

Allowing yourself a period of relaxation time prior to and immediately after your session will help to achieve the maximum benefit of your massage.

Since toxins are released from your muscles, you should drink plenty of water after your session.

For your benefit, pagers and cell phones must be turned off during your session.
